Watanabe Yasuji was the chief editor of the Japanese magazine SM Sniper which was first launched thirty years ago. The magazine has since closed down due to the economic downturn in 2008. Watanabe Yasuji's photographic work has been featured in many solo exhibitions, magazines and his book "Akai Hana" featuring Yukimura Haruki.
Watanabe Yasuji
Akai Hana presents 4 sessions of shibari photographed in color and black and white by the photographer Watanabe Yasuji.
The artist has been for 10 years the editor association of the review SM Sniper, specialized magazine in the practices SM, whose cord is the principal element in Japan. The work reveals the work of another artist: a Master of the art of Shibari, Yukimura Haruki, famous for its lyrical way to attach the models.
The photographs are taken in a traditional Japanese house with young girls carefully selected for their beauty and their parts of shade.
A glance of the Master of shibari on the models is cold and refined, that of the photographer reveals the eroticism.
